New Business Development Director (full service or creative advertising agency experience required)

As Business Development Director you will establish short- and long-term new business plans and outline the objectives and tactics required to successfully execute. Proactively seek qualified client prospects, develop strategic relationships, maintain new business pipeline, and lead the end-to-end pitch process, including assessing initial opportunities, collaborating with key internal stakeholders on pitch deliverance's, and creating written RFP responses. This person will oversee business development initiatives to guide them from lead to contract providing both strategic and tactical leadership across large-scale cross-brand engagements. The Business Development Director is able to identify a client’s business needs and work with both the client and agency’s  integrated teams to understand, define, and build effective and innovative solutions that generate revenue and measurable results. The Business Development Director is as much a leader as they are a communicator and mentor. The ability to read between the lines and hear what is not being said is at the core of this role and an ability to solicit information and facilitate its transfer consistently and correctly across the various project communication channels is a key skill for this role.  This role will report into the Chief Marketing Officer and partner with cross functional teams agency wide.

  • 10+ years’ experience in a marketing sales or business development role
  • Proven track record of new revenue generation and client acquisition
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make compelling presentations to an audience of diverse business stakeholders
  • Seasoned in a client services organization, preferably on accounts within an agency
  • Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage and mentor
  • Frequent travel
