Paid Search & Social Media Planner
Location – NYC, Hybrid
Salary - Depends on experince, $55,000-$63,000
We’re working with a growing independent media agency that’s looking to add a Paid Search & Social Media Planner to their team. This person will play a hands-on role in building and optimizing paid media campaigns—primarily across search (Google Ads) with some exposure to paid social. This is a great opportunity for someone with early experience who wants to grow in a role that blends platform execution, data analysis, and creative thinking.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own Paid Search Execution: End-to-end setup and management of Google Ads campaigns—including keyword research, writing ad copy, and organizing ad groups.
- Daily Budget Monitoring: Review pacing daily to ensure campaigns are spending efficiently and hitting performance targets.
- Ongoing Optimization: Adjust keywords, bids, audiences, and creative elements to drive stronger results. Run A/B tests to improve click-through and conversion rates.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track KPIs, pull insights, and share recommendations with internal teams and client partners.
- Cross-Platform Support: While this role is search-heavy, familiarity with paid social platforms like Meta Ads Manager is important—you’ll be asked to support or collaborate on cross-channel campaigns.
What They’re Looking For:
- 1–2 years of hands-on paid search experience, ideally in an agency environment.
- Proficiency with Google Ads (required); working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager or other social platforms is a plus.
- Comfort digging into data and using insights to improve campaign performance.
- Strong communication skills—this role includes client-facing elements.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
