Overview
Our client, a leader in the building products category is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the Construction and Carpet segments within the Polymers business- relocation assistance is offered. This is a key strategic role focused on aligning regional initiatives with global goals, managing financial performance, leading high-impact contract negotiations, and identifying new growth opportunities across complex, global markets. You’ll work across functions - sales, R&D, supply chain, technical service - and be responsible for shaping market strategy, managing customer relationships, and driving top-line growth in a fast-changing and competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional marketing strategies aligned with global business objectives.
- Manage financial performance, including revenue and profitability targets.
- Lead major customer relationships and drive high-level contract negotiations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, supply chain, commercial, and technical) to ensure market readiness and alignment.
- Serve as a primary marketing lead on new business exploration, including entry into adjacent markets or applications.
- Work closely with global marketing and regional teams to ensure consistency across customer engagement and contract strategies.
- Provide leadership across a matrixed organization, ensuring accountability and strategic focus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Engineering preferred); Master’s degree (MS/MBA) is a plus.
- 8–10+ years of experience in marketing, sales, or commercial leadership roles, ideally in specialty chemicals or materials.
- Proven success managing complex customer relationships and global accounts.
- Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organization.
- Familiarity with product development, technical service, and application engineering processes.
- Strong contract negotiation skills, including experience with large, long-term agreements.
- Effective communicator and influencer across multiple levels of the business.
- Proficiency with SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Comfortable leading in multicultural, cross-regional environments.
