Associate Digital Media Director (hybrid)

An ideal candidate will have experiences that include deep performance media experience from the agency side inclusive of both strategy and execution, however, this position will focus on leading strategy and client relationships, while overseeing a team handling execution.  The position will work across a variety of high-profile national and global accounts with a focus in financial/B2B verticals. This role is heavy client facing and polished presentation skills are a must have, as well as previous management experience; the position manages 3- 5 people to start, growing soon to up to 7+

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily management and strategic direction of client accounts.
  • Develop and present media plan recommendations, including both tactical and high-impact/custom activations to achieve client objectives.
  • Lead the analysis and reporting of campaign performance, providing key insights and optimization recommendations.
  • Mentor and guide Associate Media Planners, Sr. Planners/Planners, and Managers through the planning process, including strategy development, RFP evaluation, negotiation, tactical planning, execution, reporting, and billing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Expertise in comprehensive media strategies, encompassing Digital Media (Search, Social, Video, Content, Display), Print, TV/OTT, OOH, and Audio.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft high-level strategies with innovative ideas that drive results, from awareness to lead generation.
  • Proficient in analyzing digital activities and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics across various tactics, including:
    • Developing measurement frameworks aligned with strategic roadmaps.
    • Supporting the creation of performance reporting templates tied to measurement frameworks.
    • Overseeing campaign performance reports and sharing results across teams to drive continuous program improvement.
  • Design and implement frameworks for team development to ensure progress and growth.
  • Lead client briefing meetings with key stakeholders (e.g., CMO, Head of Marketing, Head of Product Distribution).
  • Provide expert guidance to team members in creating insightful and strategically grounded POVs to inform planning decisions.
  • Contribute to and publish thought leadership content.
  • Engage in new business development efforts.
  • Actively participate in Team Leadership Group meetings and work sessions.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills that enhance value for investment.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics, DoubleClick/DFA, MOAT/IAS, Google Data Studio, Prisma, Spectra.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic, productive relationships with media publishers (references available upon request).
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including expertise in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Collaborative team player with a consultative approach, willing to challenge conventional methods.
  • Capable of multitasking and excelling in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing timelines and prioritizing deliverables.
