Our client, a fast-growing independent media agency, is seeking a Senior Director of Analytics to lead a high-performing analytics function focused on performance media, advanced measurement, and strategic business insights. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong client-facing communication and team leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience across media analytics, marketing science, attribution, and measurement strategy, along with the ability to mentor and develop analytics talent in a collaborative agency environment. This person will play a key role in helping drive data-informed decision making across client engagements while partnering closely with media, strategy, and executive leadership teams. This role requires a strong balance of hands-on execution and leadership. The right candidate must be comfortable diving into data, guiding measurement strategy, presenting insights to clients, and helping scale analytics capabilities across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline analytics processes and ensure seamless integration of data across client accounts
  • Translate complex model outputs, attribution analysis, forecasting scenarios, and performance insights into clear strategic recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Lead the delivery of client-facing reporting, analytics, and performance insights across multiple media channels
  • Partner closely with media, strategy, and client services teams to align analytics initiatives with broader business objectives
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a growing analytics team while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Oversee day-to-day analytics operations while helping shape long-term measurement strategy and innovation initiatives
  • Contribute to new business opportunities by articulating the value of analytics and measurement capabilities in pitches and presentations
  • Lead advanced measurement engagements including Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), incrementality testing, attribution analysis, and unified measurement frameworks
  • Develop scalable measurement methodologies and best practices that can be applied across multiple client engagements
  • Evaluate and optimize analytics infrastructure, reporting systems, and data workflows to support evolving client needs
  • Help shape the organization’s point of view around media measurement, attribution, and analytics innovation

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Deep understanding of performance metrics, KPIs, attribution, incrementality, and ROI analysis
  • Strong ability to communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Advanced experience with SQL and Python for data querying, manipulation, and analysis
  • Expertise with analytics and visualization platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Funnel, Snowflake, or similar tools
  • Strong technical aptitude with experience working across modern analytics and reporting ecosystems
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying Marketing Mix Models (MMM), including forecasting, validation methodologies, and budget scenario planning
  • Experience designing and interpreting incrementality testing frameworks including geo holdouts, lift studies, and matched market testing
  • Strong understanding of multi-touch attribution methodologies and measurement limitations across platforms and channels
  • Familiarity with causal inference methodologies including synthetic control and difference-in-differences approaches
  • Experience evaluating and working with media measurement platforms such as Measured, Northbeam, Recast, Triple Whale, Prescient, or similar solutions

 

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of experience within analytics, marketing science, or media measurement environments
  • Strong background across digital media, social, programmatic, paid search, TV, and cross-channel performance analytics
  • Proven experience leading analytics initiatives tied to performance media optimization and business outcomes
  • 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring analytics teams in a fast-paced agency or client-services environment
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with experience leading client conversations and executive-level discussions
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strategic mindset paired with strong executional capabilities
  • Strong understanding of media planning, buying, and measurement ecosystems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, client-facing environment
  • High level of accountability, ownership, and problem-solving ability
