Our client, a full service media agency in NYC, is looking for a talented Sr. Integrated Media Planner to join their team. For this position we are looking for candidates with integrated experience from an agency setting, This opportunity is a solid mix of Digital DR, Local/National TV, and some Print. The client is in the Travel & Tourism, with a really strong team, from GD, Director and AMD… with a lot of visibility to senior management. This role offers a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop strategic campaigns, manage client relationships and help mentor junior team members.

Selected Responsibilities

The Integrated Senior Media Planner devises strategies and recommendations for media plans across all media and oversees all planning, negotiating, and buying activities

  • The Integrated Senior Media Planner researches key historical elements of a media plan and analyzes data to utilize in recommendation
  • Creates and presents media recommendations to internal staff and client for approval
  • Regularly solicit added value opportunities for clients
  • The Integrated Senior Media Planner leads weekly status meetings/updates agendas both internally and with the client
  • Manages and maintains client expectations on material delivery
  • Responsible for creating media specific documents such as flowcharts, MPAs, CDCs, acquisition charts, etc. and oversees these responsibilities when managing a junior team
  • Negotiates best price and media placement for clients, as well as resolves media discrepancies with vendors
  • Assists in trafficking and overseeing all OOH and Print components during campaign execution
  • Lead the implementation and support the development of sound media plans based on up-to-date knowledge of market and consumer information
  • Builds relationships with media representatives to maintain business partnerships, give account updates and briefings for industry trend
  • Supervises and monitors media contracts with outside media vendors
  • Develop in depth knowledge of all media components: Digital, Mobile, Search and Social, Programmatic, Data Local and National TV, Outdoor, Print, Local and National Radio
  • Maintains ownership of accounts with an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial spirit
  • Manages and delegates workload to positions on lower level (Planners and Planning Coordinator)
  • Works with Planners and Coordinators on daily tasks in order to grow their knowledge base and expand individual management skills
  • Effectively ‘manage up’ to ensure communication and effective performance
  • Maintains rapport with other media departments to encourage a positive work environment


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of media planning within an agency or client environment across all media types
  • Strong command of media research
  • Strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated client service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
  • Computer skills required:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint
